There’s a new way to get your news in morning.

Amazon’s Echo line, which includes three smart-home speaker products all equipped with “Alexa” artificial intelligence technology, can rattle off news from various sources in its “Flash Briefing.” The Tallahassee Democrat is one of the news sources you can enable for your flash briefing.

Echo products react to spoken commands. Asking, “Alexa, what’s my flash briefing?” will lead to software program reading off whatever news sources you added to the briefing via the Amazon Alexa app, and will also provide a weather report.

Some flash briefing updates include radio-like news from human sources – the Tallahassee Democrat’s flash briefing is a list of top stories, read by Alexa.
