How to set out hurricane debris and garbage

Leon County, the city of Tallahassee and the state of Florida will pick up and dispose of yard waste, demolition debris and other materials starting on Monday. All citizens in the city limits and the unincorporated area will be serviced within two weeks.

Types of debris that will be picked up include vegetative (tree branches, leaves, logs), construction and demolition (building materials, dry wall, furniture), appliances (refrigerators, washers, dryers), electronics, household hazardous waste, and bulky items. Put household garbage, including spoiled food, in your regular trash bin as usual.

No exact dates for areas will be given, but the debris company will go through neighborhoods multiple times.
