Reward offered for horse killer information

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the shooting of a horse in the Old Lloyd road community.  The horse was shot and killed sometime between Thursday evening August 25 and Friday morning August 26.

A $3,000 reward has been posted for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible.

Photos of the horse are not being released at this time.
